External Relations, with a particular focus on Asia, has become a key area for EMEO partners in 2008-09. EMEO will pay particular attention to:  
 

• Asia programmes 2007-13:including the new SWITCH-Asia programme and Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window;

• International Cooperation within FP7;

• Exploring opportunities within other areas (Employment, Research, Environment, Trade, Regional Policy, etc.); and
  

• Latin America programmes 2007-2013 (according to stakeholders’ interests).
